Managing spectral complexity
(part of theme Heavy Element Spectoscopy and Models)
Objective
Enable creation of massive line sets for arbitrary heavy element ions, with separation into strong individual lines emissivities and feature emissivities defined on a spectrometer range. Embedding of these capabilities in the experimental programmes at Euratom Associated Laboratories. Such embedding is a central objective of the ADAS-EU proposals and the preparations for ITER.
Specific tasks
- Test and release automated scripted code package for emissivity and feature emissivity generation, using heavy element baseline adf04 data, delivering adf15 and adf40 formats at `ic', `ls' and `ca' resolution.
- Utilise automatic sizing to delimit zones of avoidance for high resolution spectroscopy.
- Experimental exploitation/validation. Timing is subject to experimental campaigns and indeterminate at this stage.
